Gomez has ridden Dunkirk before but may have had a choice and opted for some Chocolate Candy. Charitable Man (#6 Post) has NEVER lost on a real dirt track, Belmont is a real dirt track. You will hear a lot of chatter about Dunkirk but the fact is that Gomez (Chocolate Candy) and Edgar Prado (Mr Hot Stuff) may have turned down Dunkirk for other rides, not a good sign…think Calvin Borel turning down Mine That Bird for Rachel Alexandra in the derby.
