Its been 6 years since Anchorman came out and been quoted 55 million times. And since that masterful work of mastery Will Ferrell hasn’t done so well. Land of the Lost anybody? Don’t get me wrong, I AM a Will Ferrell fan, the guy is a retarded genius, or geniusly retarded… however you wanna work that. But Semi-pro, step brothers, blades of glory, Bewitched, Kicking and Screaming all bombed out pretty bad. I thought Semi Pro was pretty funny actually but you can only do that Will Ferrell cocky/idiot character so many times before people get really fucking bored with it.
So here comes “The Other Guys” a movie made by Adam Mckay, Ferrells writing buddy, and that means hit or miss. After watching the trailer I was amused but, for Christ sakes… a odd couple cop buddy movie? AGAIN? Im really burned out on the idea, and if Ferrell goes into his same character role again im going to throw shit at the movie screen.
The movie will have Samuel L Jackson, The Rock, and Mark Wahlberg as his partner. Hopefully this is a nice relief from the same 4 guys hes been doing movies with the passed decade.
I want to be optimistic with this movie but I just cant help thinking Ferrell is going to let me down again.

omfg just retire already William, youre one and only character bothers the hell out of me! So much so that Anchorman is starting to give me diabetes. Take a note from Sam, he plays very similar characters but hes entertaining as hell! I’ll pass on this one. Right now all I’m living for is Iron Man 2
I think with the addition of mark wahlberg and samuel L jackson, it makes for a pretty strong contrast to the normal Will Ferrell character. Hes not the overly cocky dumb character, hes more of a quirky weird outsider and I think it might be a good change.
