I’m fed up with the news people.
Ok, I’ve had it up to here (the imaginary line I’m pointing at) with the “news” talking heads going off on ignorant rants like people honestly care. They ALL do it. Is there no real outlet for news media (other than Thishotfire.com) that doesn’t carry a bias one way or the other? I mean literally I can switch to all the news stations, the BIG ones, and tell you, conservative, liberal, democratic, republican, it’s just getting out of hand and I’m honest to god tired of it. No one is safe from the tyranny of these so called news men. I just don’t understand how anyone can sit and listen to half of these god damn morons.
MSNBC, FOX, CNN, CNBC, & now Comedy Central. Let me tell you something, when I watch
the news, I don’t want to get yelled at. I don’t want to be talked down to, I don’t want to be made to look stupid, and I certainly don’t care what YOU have to say about the news. When I go about watching the news, it’s just for that reason, to get the news about what’s happening across the country/world. I don’t need Sean Hannity taking Jabs at the president every 2 seconds. Look I didn’t vote for Obama, but I don’t hate the man. I disagree with a lot of what he stands for and what he’s doing, but I don’t need to be told he’s a communist every 2 seconds “Sean”.
It doesn’t stop at FOX news; MSNBC/CNN has the same slant towards the liberal opinions. I swear to god if I have to hear Keith Olbermann and his cocky “I’m 1,000 times smarter than you” voice tell me that Bush is an ignoramus, I’m going to go out buy a gun, and shoot my
fucking TV. Rachael Maddow and her “I’m going to a dinner party” lesbian man haircut need to get the hell out of my face too. If I hear her shrill voice tell me that John McCain is old, and will probably die soon I swear to god I will drive down to whatever bull dike bar you hang out at, dress like a woman, seduce you, make you fall in love with me, make sure gay marriage is made legal all over the united states, then ask you to marry me, then as you are standing at the alter in your Tux(cause you’re a fucking man) I’ll walk in, pull down my pants, shove my dick in your face, and scream “I HATE YOU”. That’s my plan, but it’s not set in stone yet, still have some details to work out.
Also their is a new kind of faux news out there. It’s the comedy/newsman style. Brought to you by John Stewart, and Stephan Colbert. Ugh, don’t’ even get me started on these two smug, pompous fools. The worst part about
these two idiots is that whenever anyone criticizes them, they revert to their old fallback “Hey, we are just comedians”. Bull shit. You two dummies are out there peddling your news garbage as well. You can’t have it both fucking ways, on one hand Stewart hammers Jim Crammer on the stock market, and on the next he is talking about Nancy Pelosi looking like an alien. Hey, I’m all for news in comedy form, but not the way these two putzes do it. They mock EVERYONE in politics, and the second someone asks the question “don’t you think that’s maybe a bit irresponsible?” Stewart shoots back with a snarky grin on his face and says “hey look, if you’re getting your news from me, then you have bigger problems, ok?” FUCK YOU Stewart. God damn I hate him.
What happened to the days of real news men? Where is Walter Cronkite
when you need him? I want a Newsman that will deliver the news to me without giving me his personal bias. I want to listen to someone who looks like they know what they are talking about. I want a newsman who shows he actually cares about this country, and what it was founded on. When Kennedy died, you know what happened? People cried, Cronkite cried because it was sad for America. Do you know what would happen if Obama was killed while in office? Sean Hannity would laugh like a mad scientist, and say Obama got his come-up-ins. Do you know what would happen if Bush died? Olbermann and Stewart would make jokes about it on air, and probably say things about him being to ignorant to live. Its Bull shit. Look, I’m not a Bush fan, and like I said before, I’m not
an Obama fan. However, if either of these 2 men died, I would be sad, I would feel sympathy for them, and their families. I wouldn’t get excited because I hate them. It’s called being a human being, not a celebrity/person with a sense of importance way higher than is required.
America needs a source for REAL news, and they need a REAL news anchor. Not these ignorant self centered, everyone look at me idiots.
Screw you fake news assholes.

Im with you buddy… but the only problem is that barefaced journalism doesnt get ratings.
Id like someone to tell me whats happening and not have their consevative or liberal take. But its not their fault, its people. People wont tune into legitimate honest media.. their A.D.D. minds need to be told whats what and have a comedian tell them or some jackoff insult them etc.
Its not about getting the story right, or being honest, etc. They make money, and they keep their job by ratings…
May 19th, 2009 at 4:13 PM
Fuck that, i don’t want that answer.
i want some god damn change. and not the shitty Obama kind.
May 19th, 2009 at 5:25 PM
Hey! I like Jon Stewart! Lol
I think your right and he does use the fallback of being a comedian when people call him out on his monologues, which isnt right. Yet he still provides a strong insight on a lot of issues. It may be biased but hes single handedly created the entire form of fake news.
The people causing the largest issues are the shows actually banking off political parties differences like tucker carlsons show. Him and his stupid bowtie, what a jerk.

Your right. Olberman is pretty pompous, but most the time hes right. I hate admitting that when hes so in love with himself and cocky but its true. Every now and then you get his spiel on all of Bill O Reillys blatant lies and fallacies its pretty pathetic on O Reillys part but Olberman is intelligent. Sorry pal.
May 19th, 2009 at 6:09 PM
don’t apologize to me, apologize to yourself, for buying into the hype, olbermann is no better than O’Reilly.
May 19th, 2009 at 6:09 PM
So youd really like to see Walter Cronkite again? Absolutely no insight, or opinion on matters just Ron Burgundy-esque quips without anything to help digest the material?? REALLY?
Your right, that would be so interesting to watch or listen to in the days where people are constantly connected to media at all times. Even with your lust for the old days when you probably werent alive, it wouldnt survive a week.
May 19th, 2009 at 6:17 PM
Yo when 6 corporations own the media, military industrial complex, and just about everything else in this globlization of America, your going to find information is blacked-out. Like the Bilderbergers meeting over this last weekend in Athens greece. Did any mainstream news cover that? No! 130 of the worlds most powerful political figures, royal families, international bankers meeting to shape the next years events. Only to meet again in one more year and so on and so forth since about the early 50′s. Now if 130 of hollywoods stars meet at a hotel once a year how much would you bet the media covers that? The media blacks out the truth! So that information is kept in the dark and we the sheep debate non-sense. They ALL have handlers, they are ALL apart of cointel(Operation Mockingbird) against the American people and they are ALL paid off.
INFOWARS.Com is the closest thing to real news your going to find these days.
May 19th, 2009 at 6:18 PM
It wouldn’t survive a week Kate because of what mitch said. We are the culture of ADD.
You say Cronkite had “absolutely no insight” Tell me who has insight now? Stewart? Maddow? Hannity? No, Kate, all these talking heads have is a huge ego and hot air exiting their mouths.
Just because we have access to “information” doesn’t actually make it news. It makes it entertaining.
Do you honestly think Maddow/Hannity/Stewart, are out their giving the news? or are they out there padding their already inflated wallets?
your right Kate, no one could possibly EVER want to listen to someone who tells it to your straight..
May 19th, 2009 at 6:19 PM
LOL…. OMG I was laughing so hard I couldnt breathe at your plan against Maddow. That was the funniest thing Ive ever read in my life.
When you pull down your pants could you do the “helicopter” for me.
May 19th, 2009 at 6:29 PM
Combie sounds like one of the guys over saturated in the conspiracy culture, but at the same time he’s right.
Unfortunatly Kevin your not going to get your wish of straight forward, honest, news. At least on television. Movies and television studios control the art and media we consume and the very few powerful control them so we dont hear about things that would hinder their power.
Slowly the internet is falling victim too. With so much power in Google, when you search for something you can barely find things accidently relating to honest information. Its a scary world we’ve made and it may only get worse
May 19th, 2009 at 7:03 PM
Who struck first? Who started the uber-biased tv first? I would really like to know.
I sincerely doubt it was liberals because liberals have always been involved with media and had their fingers in it since the creation. So with that logic conservatives struck first, gun toting/god fearing/biggoted conservatives. To tilt the teeter totter back even or even more towards liberals they had to fight fire with fire and sensationalize EVERYTHING.
Its a retarded war where everyone loses but, that may be overshadowed by the things these other people are saying about corporations owning all the media outlets. Im scared in all honesty government/corporations/media are so intertwined theres no more checks and balances and it sucks.
This may be more serious that this post was meant or even this site, but it got me riled up. For what its worth I laughed out loud at the Maddow paragraph.
May 19th, 2009 at 7:17 PM
“but mom!… he started it!”
nice point seth.
May 19th, 2009 at 8:14 PM
it’s doesn’t matter who started it damnit. it ends, now.
May 19th, 2009 at 10:35 PM
Good god.. way to go kevin.. Everyone is a downer and making me realize the world is controlled by the few elite and i am doomed to be raped of my money and freedom… Thanks Kevin.
This site was an escape from the reality of that shit.

Im with ya man. I need some Cronkite. Landing on the moon, JFK assassination, Nam’. No bias, just cold hard news. Itd be great to have something like that again.
May 20th, 2009 at 1:07 PM
Im not one to watch Stewart or Colbert for my updates on the world, because they dont report on whats important or relevant.. they report on something they can mock and something that is already in the other media outlets.
Someone needs to create the ultimate internet news site. No bias, no clever comedy just facts about stuff that affects our lives now and in the future. News that calls out corrupt politicians and businessmen like the media was originally created to do. The internet is the only place it could be done now.
May 20th, 2009 at 4:46 PM
I agree. I do like my news straight up. But then most people wouldn’t know what to think. They need their opinions formulated for them. In neat little packages…or articles. Thanks, Kevin! Now I know what to think this week
PS I LOVE Anne Curry & my brother-in-law was like, She has no personality. She just reports the news. UHM, That’s her job!
May 20th, 2009 at 9:03 PM
On the spot once again Kev-O. As you know I stand just a smidge left of you, but honestly, we’re both somewhere near the center. I believe that is the case with most americans, they’re not angry limbaugh right or low rated olberman left, they are near the center. With that said, I still cant believe the regurgitated (sp) crap I hear from some of my way right of center friends. They truly believe that CNBC, FOX RUSH etc. are telling them the facts. For example, I won a one hundred dollar bet the night before the presidential election. One of my buddies only watched fox and listened to elrushbo. He was certain that the latest polls had shown McCain leading by double didgets. He really believed what these gun toting, enviornment hating, racist freaks were preaching. I collected the 100 bucks but he paid me in one dollar bills.
Thats all I got for now.

I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money-power of the country will endeavor to prolong it’s reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.

What are you going to do with honest news? I think you need to calm down and deliver this article without so much passion. Just give me the pros and cons without your personal opinions getting in the way of you trying to make a point. I know it’s not like you’re reporting news, rather you’re talking about people and events, but I’d like it served to me in unbiased news fashion please.
June 1st, 2009 at 4:30 PM
Fuck the news media. I agree with Kevin, give me a new Cronkite!! We may finally get some information that hasnt been tasted, swallowed, digested and then shit out by some jack off like sean hannity or hardcore lesbian like Maddow… its shitty on both sides.
May 16th, 2010 at 1:36 PM
You can’t look at shows like Hannity or Olbermann or O Reilly as NEWS shows. Those are strictly opinion programs on political or social issues. Its like the editorial page of a newspaper. Their entire purpose on tv is to cause controversy, exactly the way you write your articles here. The controversy and opinions spark debate and facilitate education on the issues. But if no one sets the spark it never gets talked about. These guys regardless of whether or not I agree with their opinions (and I agree on dickslapping Maddow) the point is their role in all this has brought more people to the table in discussing the issues than ever before. These guys are right, don’t get your news from them, but establish opinons, incite debate, draw a line and say which side your on. If you just say the facts and don’t have an opinion what can I say to you about it that you don’t already know. “Grass is green” ok so what? How does that affect me. People are people they have opinions as is evident from the responses to this article alone. You do your research check your sources and it is up to you to legitimize it, take their word or discount it. The problem is so many people are drones in soceity and don’t have a brain of their own and are just plain too god damn stupid to decide anything for themselves. While I agree some of these guys could use a good ass kicking I see the need for them I see the market for them and I enjoy hearing their OPINIONS. I don’t watch Harold and Kumar and expect to find some kind of truth. I don’t listen to Kanye and find reason for my life (in fact it makes me hate hummanity in general lol) its ENTERTAINMENT and it has a purpose. I gotta go…Colbert just came on…haha
